PTFE gaskets for flanges, valves and threads

Key properties

Nexano's expanded PTFE gaskets are made from 100% pure, virgin material. They seal surfaces that are not perfectly flat and stay dimensionally stable for years.

• MediapH 0 to 14, except molten or dissolved alkali metals and elemental fluorine at high temperature and pressure

PTFE flat gasket tape

The one-side self-adhesive tape is laid as a ring on the flange. It compensates for unevenness and stays in place during assembly. Available from stock in 11 standard sizes from 3 × 1.5 mm to 50 × 3 mm.

PTFE flat gasket film

The expanded PTFE film (density 0.75 g/cm³ ± 0.1) is self-adhesive on one side and seals steel flanges, expansion joints, hand and manholes, pump housings and air-conditioning systems. Supplied on 10 m rolls.

PTFE gasket sheets

Multidirectionally expanded PTFE with a density of 0.85 g/cm³ ± 0.1 and high tensile strength. We cut or punch gaskets from the sheets, including complex contours and full-face gaskets. Typical uses are flanges of all kinds, apparatus construction and heat exchangers.

PTFE round cords

Two types are available. The extruded, unsintered sealing cord is silicone-free, contains a food-approved lubricant and seals statically in general use. The braided valve cord of 100% pure PTFE is spirally braided and wound, which keeps creep low and lets valve spindles move smoothly even under heavy compression.

PTFE thread seal tape

The tape seals threaded connections in gas, water and process lines. Versions are available to DIN EN 751-3 and with DVGW, BAM (oxygen) and FDA approval. Standard is 12 mm wide, 12 m long and 0.10 mm thick; special widths from about 6 to 51 mm and other lengths and thicknesses are available on request.
